The 2010 Cornhusker State Games are set for June 25-27.
We are gearing up for the biggest and best Cornhusker State Games ever, with 15,000 athletes in more than 65 sports in and around Lincoln. As in the past, the Nebraska Sports Council will offer an opportunity for low-income athletes and families to take part in the Games at no charge to the athlete. The average entry fee is $25, and these fees for the underprivileged have primarily been covered by individual donations.
Thanks to rising needs, the assistance fund needs a big boost. In response, we're asking you to consider adopting one or more athletes with a donation to the Nebraska Sports Council. All $25 donors will be recognized in the 2010 Nebraska Sports Council Yearbook. Those who donate $100 or more will automatically join the NSC Booster Club and receive a special gift from the Nebraska Sports Council.
You can make your donation online at the link below. And, we strongly encourage you to pass this note on to your contacts, letting them know that you're taking part in the program and indicating how many athletes you are supporting.
Our goal is to raise enough money to cover 500 athletes, so please help if you can. Thank You!!
