UPDATES FOR 2016:
The Cornhusker State Games Track & Field Meet is going back to a one-day format. Past CSG meets ran from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The meet is usually hot, and recruiting volunteers for three sessions is very difficult. So, to enjoy the meet more and make it more entertaining for participants and spectators, event directors have eliminated the Race Walk, Intermediate Hurdles, 4x400 Meter Relay, and 100 Meter Dash preliminaries. These events had very minimal participation and required three hours of meet time, and the Race Walk lacked certified officials. Those interested in walking in the 2016 Games are encouraged to register for any of three walking events: CSG Walk (Outdoor Lincoln, July 23), Mallwalk (Indoor Lincoln, July 17), WalkOmaha (Outdoor Omaha, July 24).
The updated time format for 2016 has two sessions: Session 1 from approximately 7:30 a.m. to Noon, and Session 2 from approximately Noon to 5:15 p.m. View event and session times in the Complete Event Details.
