2010 SportFest will feature Justice – Nebraska's Rising Tween Pop Star
Justice is a twelve year old pop singer from Nebraska. At the age of four, she started singing. By age nine, she was singing and dancing whenever possible, in addition to playing soccer, studying and being with her close-knit family.
Her style has influences of Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens, but it is all her own. She sings with a sweet but soulful voice that leaves no doubt that this girl is reaching for her star. Her songs speak of the fun and fancies of a young girl, but they also take a look at the pressures and difficulties of growing up in a challenging world.
Also performing at SportFest is a group of very talented fiddlers called the Spitfire Fiddle Band. The Spitfire Fiddle Band is a group of fiddlers who have
come together to learn, share, and play fiddle tunes. This group is designed to cultivate fiddle music within the community, as it compiles fiddlers of all ages and skill levels. Spitfire was founded in August of 2005 in Lincoln, NE, as an extension of Nissa’s Violin Studio. Nissa is the director of the group, but the fiddlers themselves assist in choosing tunes, creating parts, learning, and teaching. This fun-loving fiddle group performs regularly throughout Eastern Nebraska at various events and venues.
