SANCTION: The Cornhusker State Games Triathlon is sanctioned by USA Triathlon.
USAT Members: Participants will be prompted to enter their membership number while registering online. Participants registering via the paper entry form must list their membership number in the Additional Details/Special Instructions section of the form.
Non-USAT Members: A one-day sanctioning fee of $15 will be added during online registration. Participants who register via the paper entry form, and do not list a membership number, must include $15 to the entry fee.
Waiver: In addition to the Cornhusker State Games waiver (electronic click waiver for those who register online), all participants must also sign the USAT waiver form to be eligible for competition. All signed waivers must be submitted to the Cornhusker State Games office before competition, or submitted at the check-in table on-site the morning of competition. Participants WILL NOT be eligible to compete without a signed USAT waiver.

RULES: USA Triathlon rules will apply. All cyclists must wear a hard-shell helmet. Wet suits and disc wheels are allowed. Center line rule will be strictly enforced.
AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division.
Chip timing will be used in all races. The swim leg is a point to point 500 yard swim and will be lined with support craft. Swim warm-up will only be allowed before the pre-race meeting, no warm-ups allowed before the start of each wave. The cycling leg is a 20-kilometer bike around Holmes Lake and Holmes Golf Course - 70th Street to Pioneer Blvd, to 56th Street to Normal Blvd (3 laps), and the final leg is a 5-kilometer out and back run along the limestone trail around the lake. Team competition consists of three members, each participating in one segment of the triathlon. Mixed teams must consist of at least one female. Teams are determined by combining the ages of all three team members. If any leg in the team competition does not finish, either or both remaining team members may complete the remaining portion BUT WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR AWARDS. A wave start will be implemented by age groups (4-5 waves depending on the numbers, approx. 80 to 100 per wave) Order of waves will start with the Championship heat, then the youngest to oldest age groups possibly combined together followed by the last wave of Teams competitors.
Swim Course: Swim course may be altered due to water and/or weather conditions in a manner that will not conflict with other ongoing lake activities.

The deadline to make roster updates is 5 p.m. on TUESDAY, JULY 19. Rosters are considered FINAL after that date.
Roster additions after June 22 will include the per-player entry fee, plus a $10 late fee PER TEAM MEMBER.
Teams that register online are able to login and make roster substitutions free of charge. Teams that register via the paper entry form will be charged a $10 processing fee to substitute players. Teams are strongly encouraged to register online to eliminate any roster change fees.
MINIMUM ROSTER SIZE: Three people. If registering online, the minimum roster size must be entered to advance to check-out.
TEAM WAIVER: The team waiver form must be signed by each team member, or by parent/guardian if the participant is 18 years or younger. If the team is registered online, and the online waiver for each player is clicked as ‘Accepted’, no printed/signed waiver is needed. All team waivers must be clicked as ‘Accepted’ or submitted to the Cornhusker State Games office by TUESDAY, JULY 19 to be eligible for competition. The final registration deadline for most sports is Wednesday, June 22. Some sports will accept late registrations with an additional $10 late fee per participant.
