You can make a difference in the lives of over 10,000 athletes. The Nebraska Sports Council is in need of medical volunteers for the Cornhusker State Games and has implemented the Adopt-A-Sport program.
What is Adopt-A-Sport?
Your company/organization will serve as the go-to-group for basic first aid at one or more sport venues.
What sports are available?
With 60+ sports over 35 different venues in the Omaha, Lincoln, and surrounding communities, you company can choose which event you cover.
The committee works to ensure that medical/safety volunteers are on hand and equipped to provide first-aid as necessary to those sports where there is a significant risk of injury.
Outside the once bonding while giving back to the community. Each organization will have the opportunity to display banners at the sport site. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available.
Volunteers must be 18 years of age, CPR certified and able to perform basic first aid. Spotters are also needed to alert medical volunteers at the first sign of injury or emergency.
