Competition Format & Team Gear
COMPETITION FORMAT
The Cornhusker State Games Adventure Race consists of trail running/walking, biking, water events (no swimming), canoeing and navigation. Participants won’t know exactly what they will be doing until the race starts…that’s part of the adventure!
Length of race will be 4 hours for the Adventure Course and up to 2 hours for the Family Course. The Family Course race will be more of an urban race with minimal off road sections. The Adventure Course will most likely include gravel and dirt trails.
Order of events and cut off times will be determined the day of the race.
Race instructions will be given to participants at the start/finish area.
All team members try to complete each section within the race to score maximum points.
There will not be water stations on the race course; however, water will be available at the start/finish area.
Directors have the right to disqualify teams at any time, for not following the course rules, not following verbal instructions from volunteers, and for disrespectful treatment of other teams or volunteers.
