NFAA Field Round General Information

AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each competitive division. No medals will be awarded in the non-competitive divisions.
NOTE: Age determined as of July 20, 2024.
If your class is not offered within your age division, please contact the CSG office for the correct placement.
EVENTS
SATURDAY, JULY 20
Check-in: 8 a.m.
Check-in times will be strictly enforced.

Competition Begins: 9 a.m.
Awards: Awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, July 21, one hour after 450 Round is complete (approx. 3:30 p.m.).
NFAA Field Round Events
NFAA Field Round Format and Equipment
NFAA Modified Round
– 12 targets stations ranging from 20 feet to 65 yards. Will walk course 3 times shooting 3 different target faces
– Field round Black and white target 4 arrows per target station
– Scoring X-5-4-3
– Hunter Round Black target with white center 4 arrows per target station
– Scoring X-5-4-3
– Animal round NFAA paper targets with Black or White dot in center 3 arrows per target station
– Scoring 1st arrow 21-20-18 2nd arrow 19-16-14 3rd arrow 13-12-10
For all classes with Bowhunter – After you start scoring there will be no more adjusting of your sight!
EQUIPMENT DEFINITIONS
TARGET EVENTS:
Barebow: No sight, any length stabilizer, person may string walk for sighting.
Freestyle Limited: Target equipment and fingers.
Freestyle: Target equipment and release aid
Bowhunter Freestyle: All sights (including fiber optics) with a maximum five horizontal reference points but no magnification, 12” stabilizer, peep sight and/or kisser button, release aid.
Freestyle Limited Recurve: Target recurves, sight, fingers, and long stabilizer.
Traditional: Recurve or long bow, no sight, no stabilizer, fingers.
The use of binoculars is allowed in all classes but no spotting scopes on the shooting line.

Target Events
Target Competition Format and Equipment
TARGET 750: 75 arrows total, 25 each at 40-50-60 yards, at a 48” FITA face; Peewee at 10-15-20 yards; Cub at 10-20-30 yards; Youth at 20-30-40 yards; Young Adults at 30-40-50 yards; Physically Challenged and Traditional Recurve Adults shoot at 20-30-40 yards. Four-minute time limit for each five arrows unless stated differently on site. NFAA Rules used as guidelines only. There will be NO practice rounds in between distances
INDOOR 450: 45 arrows total all shot at a 5 spot or single spot 40cm target (modified Vegas round) Cubs at 10 yards Youth, Young Adult and Adults at 20 yards. Physically Challenged adn traditional will shoot at 20 yards as well. 4 minute time limit for each 5 arrows 2 practice rounds to start the event. NFAA Rules used as guidelines only.

3D MARKED YARDAGE EVENTS
SUNDAY, JULY 21
Check-in: 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Shooting Times: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Note: Scores must be turned in by 2 p.m. unless approved by the director.

3D: One arrow per animal with a two-minute time limit per arrow. Targets scored 11-10-8-5-0.

Novice Bowhunter: This class is for beginning archers who have not be awarded a medal in the past 5 years
The use of a range finding device is permitted for Marked Yardage 3-D ONLY. No one is allowed a range finding device if they are shooting the Unmarked 3-D.

IMPORTANT NOTE: There will be absolutely NO on-site registration.
ENTRY FEE INCLUDES: Competition and Summer Fun Freebies (coming soon) courtesy of our sponsors.
SHIRT SHIPPING: Athletes who register by June 19 will have their shirt shipped to the address they provide. Upgrade and additional shirts will be available to purchase during registration. There is no packet pickup—information or items needed for competition will be provided onsite or online according to instructions emailed to athletes.
PAPER ENTRY FORMS: Paper entry forms will be accepted with a $5 processing fee. Registering online saves time, money and trees.
