Target General Information

AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each competitive division. No medals will be awarded in the non-competitive divisions.

NOTE: Age determined as of July 20, 2019.

For all classes with Bowhunter – After you start scoring there will be no more adjusting of your sight!

Target Events

Target Competition Format and Equipment

TARGET 750: 75 arrows total, 25 each at 40-50-60 yards, at a 48” FITA face; Peewee at 10-15-20 yards; Cub at 10-20-30 yards; Youth at 20-30-40 yards; Young Adults at 30-40-50 yards; Physically Challenged and Traditional Recurve Adults shoot at 20-30-40 yards. Four-minute time limit for each five arrows unless stated differently on site. NFAA Rules used as guidelines only.  There will be NO practice rounds in between distances

TARGET 600: 60 arrows total 20 each at 40-50-60 yards, at a 48” FITA face; Peewee at 10-15-20 yards; Cub at 10-20-30 yards; Youth at 20-30-40 yards; Young Adults at 30-40-50 yards; Physically Challenged and Traditional Recurve Adults shoot at 20-30-40 yards. INDOOR 450: 45 arrows total all shot at a 5 spot or single spot 40cm target (modified Vegas round) Cubs at 10 yards Youth, Young Adult and Adults at 20 yards. Physically Challenged adn traditional will shoot at 20 yards as well.  4 minute time limit for each 5 arrows 2 practice rounds to start the event. NFAA Rules used as guidelines only.

 

EQUIPMENT DEFINITIONS

Barebow: No sight, any length stabilizer, person may string walk for sighting.

Freestyle Limited: Target equipment and fingers.

Freestyle: Target equipment and release aid

Bowhunter Freestyle: All sights (including fiber optics) with a maximum five horizontal reference points but no magnification, 12” stabilizer, peep sight and/or kisser button, release aid.

Freestyle Limited Recurve: Target recurves, sight, fingers, and long stabilizer.

Traditional: Recurve or long bow, no sight, no stabilizer, fingers.

The use of binoculars is allowed in all classes but no spotting scopes on the shooting line.

3D UNMARKED YARDAGE EVENTS

SATURDAY, JULY 27
Check-in:
8 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Shooting Times: 8:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Note: Scores must be turned in by 4 p.m. unless approved by the director.
Awards: Awards ceremony will be held at approximately 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 28

3D MARKED YARDAGE EVENTS

SUNDAY, JULY 28
Check-in: 7:30 a.m. – 8 a.m.
Shooting Times: 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
Note: Scores must be turned in by 2 p.m. unless approved by the director.
Awards: Awards ceremony will be held at approximately 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 28.

 

3D Competition Format and Equipment

3D: One arrow per animal with a two-minute time limit per arrow. Targets scored X-10-8-5-0.

TEAM EVENT: Four-person team event will be allowed for individuals shooting both the Marked and Unmarked 3-D events. Handicapped on Marked Event score. Registration and fee ($20 per team) collected on site. Shooters must be registered individually in order to compete on a team. Each shooter is allowed to be on only two teams.

Novice Bowhunter:  This class is for beginning archers who have not be awarded a medal in the past 5 years

The use of a range finding device is permitted for Marked Yardage 3-D ONLY. No one is allowed a range finding device if they are shooting the Unmarked 3-D.

Registration Fees & Deadlines

IF REGISTERED BY THE DISCOUNT DEADLINE:
$50 for first event until July 17 (Target) 
$50 for first event until July 24 (3D)
Additional events – $15

ENTRY FEE INCLUDES: Competition in the 2019 Cornhusker State Games; White cotton athlete shirt (micro-fiber or soft cotton lightweight tri-blend upgrade available); Pass for free admission to SportFest, the Opening Ceremonies, and all competition venues; Sponsor gifts and coupons.

PAPER ENTRY FORMS: Paper entry forms will be accepted with a $5 processing fee. Registering online saves time, money and trees.

Athlete Packets

Choose the Shipping Option and get a Free Arby’s Sandwich!

Save time, avoid hassles and receive your CSG gear more than a week before the Opening Ceremonies by shipping your athlete packet ($10) or team box ($15).  Athlete packets contain the athlete shirt and Super Pass. Athlete packets will begin to ship in late June. The packet shipping option will only be available for those registered by the final entry deadline. If you don’t choose the shipping option, you will need to pick up your athlete packet or team box.

For those who did not select the packet shipping option during registration, athlete packets and team boxes can be picked up at the following locations, dates and times:

Athlete packets contain the athlete shirt and Super Pass, which includes admission to all venues and SportFest and the Opening Ceremonies.  The athlete packets DO NOT contain any sport specific information such as schedules, maps, bib numbers, etc. For sport-specific details, refer to your sport General Information.
