SCHEDULES/BRACKETS: Games begin at 9 a.m. each day. Tournament brackets will be posted at CornhuskerStateGames.com the week of competition. Teams are responsible for checking website for game times and locations. 

All teams guaranteed four games.

NOTE: Teams outside of 50 miles away from Lincoln will get latest schedule times for first game.

ADMISSION: Admission will be charged daily at all Basketball venues.

Adults: $5
Students (6-18 Years): $2
Children (5 & Younger): FREE
Admission with Super Pass: FREE

ELIGIBILITY: Enter the corresponding grade division that the players were in during the 2022-2023 school year. Players may need to provide proof of school status via a school I.D. card. There must be at least four teams entered to provide a tournament for an age group. Age groups may be cancelled if these requirements are not met. Tournament Director can combine divisions depending on the amount of teams entered. All teams will be notified if division updates are made. 3 players minimum.

Players can only play on ONE team in a respective age division.

AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each division of 5 or more teams.

Competitive – There are no restrictions on age or college experience.
Recreational – All players with no playing experience after high school. Players with post-high school experience ARE NOT eligible to compete in the Bronze division.

Teams can make roster updates online.

The deadline to make roster updates is 5 p.m. on TUESDAY, JULY 9. Rosters are considered FINAL after that date.

Roster additions after July 9 will include the per-player entry fee, plus a $10 late fee PER PLAYER.

Teams that register online are able to login and make roster substitutions free of charge. Teams that register via the paper entry form will be charged a $10 processing fee to substitute players. Teams are strongly encouraged to register online to eliminate any roster change fees.

MINIMUM ROSTER SIZE: Three players. If registering online, the minimum roster size must be entered to advance to check-out.
MAXIMUM ROSTER SIZE: Five players.

NOTE: Rosters WILL be checked during tournament. Please make sure your roster is current prior to the July 9 deadline.

TEAM WAIVER: The team waiver form must be signed by each team member, or by parent/guardian if the participant is 18 years or younger. If the team is registered online, and the online waiver for each player is clicked as ‘Accepted’, no printed/signed waiver is needed. All team waivers must be clicked as ‘Accepted’ or submitted to the Cornhusker State Games office by TUESDAY, JULY 9 to be eligible for competition.

SCHEDULING NOTE: It is Nebraska Sports Council policy to not release team or divisional information until after the entry deadline. With teams waiting until on or near the deadline to enter, releasing data prior to that day does not provide an accurate picture of the tournament field and serves only to discourage those taking a wait-and-see approach.

All teams are encouraged to take advantage of the early entry discount and enter prior to that deadline, which in turn generates additional interest as teams attract one another. In the rare event that a division does not supply enough teams to warrant a viable tournament, teams will be given the option to move to another division, or be issued a refund. We appreciate the understanding of coaches and parents on this matter and would encourage teams to enter early and trust that there will be adequate competition in all divisions.

ENTRY FEE INCLUDES:  Competition and Summer Fun Freebies (coming soon) courtesy of our sponsors.

SHIRT SHIPPING: Teams who register by June 19 will have their shirt shipped to the address they provide. Upgrade and additional shirts will be available to purchase during registration. There is no packet pickup—information or items needed for competition will be provided onsite or online according to instructions emailed to athletes.

NOTE: Team boxes will not be shipped until after the June 19 shirt deadline. Shirt sizes and quantities will be final after that date.

PAPER ENTRY FORMS: Paper entry forms will be accepted with a $5 processing fee. Registering online saves time, money and trees.

COACHES: Head coach will receive the shirt free of charge, and will receive a medal if awarded. Assistant coaches must be included on the registration and pay the entry fee to receive the shirt, medal, and free admission to competition sites.
