RULES: United States Curling Association (USA Curling), 5-Rock Rule observed, No-Tick Rule not observed. No WCF Brush Pad requirements.

EQUIPMENT: All competition equipment will be available (curling stones, brooms, stabilizers and step-on sliders). Participants are welcome to use their own curling shoes, sliders and brooms.

AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three teams.

Competition Format

Single Knockout bracket with 4 Events.

Tiebreaker for tied games – ‘Last Stone Draw/Skip’s Stones’, extra end if 15 or more minutes remain before end of ice time.

Roster Info

Teams can make roster updates online.

The deadline to make roster updates is 5 p.m. on TUESDAY, JULY 2. Rosters are considered FINAL after that date.

Teams that register online are able to login and make roster substitutions free of charge. Teams that register via the paper entry form will be charged a $10 processing fee to substitute players. Teams are strongly encouraged to register online to eliminate any roster change fees.

MINIMUM ROSTER SIZE: Four players. If registering online, the minimum roster size must be entered to advance to check-out.

NOTE: Rosters WILL be checked during tournament. Please make sure your roster is current prior to the July 2 deadline.

TEAM WAIVER: The team waiver form must be signed by each team member, or by parent/guardian if the participant is 18 years or younger. If the team is registered online, and the online waiver for each player is clicked as ‘Accepted’, no printed/signed waiver is needed. All team waivers must be clicked as ‘Accepted’ or submitted to the Cornhusker State Games office by TUESDAY, JULY 2 to be eligible for competition. Printable waiver forms and further instructions at CornhuskerStateGames.com/Waivers. *Aksarben Carries Insurance for the Event, but will use the CSG Waivers if anyone doesn’t fill them out online. Online Signup as a Team Only, no Individual Signups.

PAPER ENTRY FORMS: Paper entry forms will be accepted with a $5 processing fee. Registering online saves time, money and trees.

SCHEDULING NOTE: It is Nebraska Sports Council policy to not release team or divisional information until after the entry deadline. With teams waiting until on or near the deadline to enter, releasing data prior to that day does not provide an accurate picture of the tournament field and serves only to discourage those taking a wait-and-see approach.
