DATES: July 19, 2026

SITE: Highlands Golf Course, Lincoln

TIME: 8am Shotgun Start

AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division/flight.

NEW THIS YEAR:

• Award ceremony hosted at North American Martyrs Reception Hall (across the street from Highlands Golf Course). Free food and beverages hosted by Knights of Columbus.

Open Division

*Women will play from the women’s tees.
*Seniors will play from the senior tees. 

COMPETITION FORMAT & RULES

Men and women will compete in a one-day, 18-hole Straight Best Ball (Four-Ball) tournament.

Straight Best Ball (Four-Ball)

• Each player plays their own ball for the entire hole.
• The lower score of the two partners is recorded as the team score for that hole.
• Teams will compete using stroke play scoring.
• This format allows one partner to play aggressively while the other plays more conservatively, encouraging teamwork and strategic play.

Additional Rules & Information

• USGA Rules of Golf and local rules will apply.
• Soft spikes only.
• The field at Highlands Golf Course is limited to the first 144 players (72 teams of two).
• Flights will be determined after play and based on approximately 10-12 teams per flight, depending on registered teams and score differentials.
• No age determination needed. This is an Open Tournament.

PRICING DEADLINES:
$25 per golfer until February 18
$30 per golfer until April 22
$35 per golfer until June 17
$40 per golfer until FINAL DEADLINE on July 1

*Each golfer must register individually.

NOTE: Green fees ARE NOT included in the entry fee and must be paid at course.

LINCOLN CITY GOLF MEMBERS: Lincoln City Golf Memberships will be honored. Green fees will be collected at the clubhouse counter, based on type of membership.

ENTRY FEE INCLUDES: Range balls, 18 holes of golf, post-event meal and beverages at the Awards Ceremony, along with the Cornhusker State Games perks – Competition and Summer Fun Freebies (coming soon) courtesy of our sponsors.

PAPER ENTRY FORMS: Paper entry forms will be accepted with a $5 processing fee. Registering online saves time, money and trees.
