Girls Hockey: Girls teams are welcome to play in any division of our tournament. We will follow USA Hockey rules as it pertains to all girls teams. For example, if a 16U Girls team registers, they may play in a co-ed 14U age division. Any game with an all girls team will be no checking regardless of age. If there are four or more girls teams signed up for any given age/division, we will create an all girls division for that given age group.

Note: Divisions may be combined into 10U/12U/14U as needed if there are not enough teams to fill a specific birth year or if it is best for the competitiveness of the tournament. Minimum four teams are required to fulfill a birth year division.

NEW INDIVIDUAL SIGN UP 6U & 8U/MITE DIVISIONS!

If you have a 2018-2021 Birth Year player looking to go for gold, now is your chance! We are taking individual sign ups for this year’s Cornhusker State Games. Register by July 1st and you will be part of a lottery draft that randomly assigns teams as competitively as we can. You can also request to play with a friend! Each 6U team will consist of up to 10 players, no goalies. Each 8U team will consist of 10 players and a goalie. All games will be played on half ice at Sidner Ice Arena in Fremont, NE, approximately 20 minutes northwest of Omaha.

6U & 8U divisions are open to all skills levels within the 2018-2021 birth years. There is a max of 80 available player spots per division. It is expected that each player brings a black and white jersey of any kind. The tournament will provide refs, scorekeepers, and medals to the top 3 teams in each division. Your only job is to show up and have fun!

IMPORTANT TOURNAMENT NOTES:

Sport Director has the right to combine divisions if less than four teams are registered in a division. All players will be notified if changes are made.

This tournament is ideal for Open Level AAA Summer teams, Select teams, House/Rec Teams, and 6U/8U players. This is not a tournament for elite level AAA teams. Higher level teams may be considered to play up a birth year, please reach out to tournament director if interested or for any questions.

We’ll reach out to all teams about a month before the tournament to confirm appropriate placement—regardless of your initial registration—to ensure balanced and competitive divisions.
