TIMES:
Weigh-ins: 7 – 9 a.m.
Competition begins: 10 a.m.

WEIGHTS: Weight divisions determined based on participation.

AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division and weight.

Age determined as of July 11, 2026.

MEDAL PICKUP: Medals not picked up on site during competition may still be claimed after the Games through the following process:

1. Medal Pickup in Lincoln: Participants who wish to pick up their medal(s) in person must email us at info@nebraskasportscouncil.com to notify our staff of their intent to pick up. After verification of eligibility, the medal(s) will be packaged and available for pickup at the Nebraska Sports Council office.

2. Medal Shipping: If participants are unable to pick up their medal(s) in Lincoln, we offer a shipping option for a $6 fee. To request shipping:

Email info@nebraskasportscouncil.com, and a staff member will follow up with verification and payment instructions OR call 402-471-2544 to verify and process your order and payment over the phone.

COMPETITION FORMAT/RULES:

All matches will be three minutes, with double elimination brackets. The director reserves the right to combine or modify divisions or modify elimination format depending on the number of entries and safety factors.

• Single regulation size mat used for all matches.
• Boys and girls divisions can be combined into a coed division for players 10 years old and under.
• Shime waza cannot be performed by participants age 12 or younger, 60 and older, or Novices of any age.
• Kansetsu waza cannot be performed by participants age 14 or younger or by Novices of any age, under Sankyu.
