RULES: VNEA 8-ball rules will be used.

AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to each team member of the top three teams. A special cash payout will also be awarded for top 3 TEAMS IN EACH DIVISION ONLY. (Dependent on total number of teams.)

Age determined as of July 31, 2020.

The tournament director reserves the right to combine or adjust the age cutoff between the seniors, masters and youth divisions depending on the number of entries and the age distribution.

Singles: All singles players will begin in Classic I Division. Players eliminated in the first cut will form Classic II-Open. “Classic” is a split into separate skill levels. Youth competition may be divided according to age if entries warrant. Director reserves the right to split matches among multiple tables as time limit approaches.

Teams: Open Teams will play five-man round-robin, 25-game (20-game on loser’s side) win/loss format; win=one point, loss=0 points. NOTES:  Depending on number of Teams, the tournament will be split into divisions with round robin play in each division.  After the round robin play, the teams will be divided again into two divisions.

CASH PAYOUT OPTION: Teams have the option to register with the Cash Payout Option. The Cash Payout Option is an additional $50 per TEAM, and can be paid at Madsen’s day of. Please select in the Cash Payout Option dropdown menu, or on the printable entry form by listing it in the Special Instructions section. 100% of the entries for the Cash Payout Option will be paid back and Tom Madsen will match up to $500. NEW THIS YEAR:   Both divisions will be eligible for the Cash Payout.

MULTI-EVENT DISCOUNT NOTE: If registering for multiple events, all entries must occur in the same transaction to receive the multi-event discount.

ONLINE REGISTRATION NOTE: If registering for a team event, pocket billiard team captain’s must select “Team” on the first step of the registration process. The captain will then be able to add all team members to the roster, including himself, and advance through the Event Selection and Checkout pages.

ENTRY FEE INCLUDES: Competition in the 2020 Cornhusker State Games; White cotton athlete shirt (micro-fiber or soft cotton lightweight tri-blend upgrade available); Pass for free admission to SportFest, the Opening Ceremonies, and all competition venues; Sponsor gifts and coupons.

PAPER ENTRY FORMS: Paper entry forms will be accepted with a $5 processing fee. Registering online saves time, money and trees.

Athlete Packets

Choose the Shipping Option and get a Free Arby’s Sandwich!

Save time, avoid hassles and receive your CSG gear more than a week before the Opening Ceremonies by shipping your athlete packet ($10) or team box ($15).  Athlete packets contain the athlete shirt and Super Pass. Athlete packets will begin to ship in late June. The packet shipping option will only be available for those registered by the final entry deadline. If you don’t choose the shipping option, you will need to pick up your athlete packet or team box.

For those who did not select the packet shipping option during registration, athlete packets and team boxes can be picked up at the following locations, dates and times:

Athlete packets contain the athlete shirt and Super Pass, which includes admission to all venues and SportFest and the Opening Ceremonies.  The athlete packets DO NOT contain any sport specific information such as schedules, maps, bib numbers, etc. For sport-specific details, refer to your sport General Information.
