Check-in/sign-up: 8 – 8:30 a.m.

EQUIPMENT: All shooters must bring 6 binder clip type paper clips. All rifles will be single shot loaded. Rifles may be single shot or semi-automatic with box or rotary type magazine or certain tube type rifles only. To ensure safety requirements competitors with tube type rifles will be required to demonstrate that the rifle is capable of being single shot loaded without using the tube. Hunter class is any out of the box hunting rifle with iron sights, no scopes. Hunter classes will be allowed slings, mats and spotting scopes only (no shooting coats or gloves). Match class is any rifle 9.5 lb or less with iron sights. Open class is any rifle with any sight.
AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event.
NOTE: Open competitors will be issued an NRA temporary scorebook, which will be used to determine their classification in lieu of an official NRA classification card for 2022.

AGE GROUP DEFINITIONS:
Novice: Any age that HAS NOT won a gold medal in the State Games in the last two years.
Sub-Junior: Shooter born in 2009 or later.
Intermediate Junior: Shooter born from 2006-2008.
Junior: Shooter born 2003-2005.
Expert: Any age
Competition Format and Rules
RULES: Competition is sanctioned by the National Rifle Association of America as a special tournament. NRA membership is not required. No coaching or spotting allowed. If semi-automatic rifle is used, competitor must have someone available to help with rifle malfunctions and jams. Shooters must hang their own targets.
COMPETITION FORMAT: Each division will consist of firing 40 rounds (split into two 20 round strings), plus sighters at 50 yards. 20 minutes allowed for each string of record rounds, 5 minutes for sighters, for a total of 25 minutes per string. The official target will be the NRA A23-5.
Registration Fees & Deadlines
Those who register by June 21 will receive a FREE CSG athlete shirt, which will be shipped to the address they provide. After June 21, CSG souvenir items can be purchased HERE, courtesy of Fine Designs. Store orders will be shipped directly to the athlete from Fine Designs.

SHIRT SHIPPING: Athletes who register by June 21 will have their shirt shipped to the address they provide. There is no packet pickup—information or items needed for competition, i.e. schedules, maps, bib numbers, will be provided onsite or online according to instructions emailed to athletes.
PAPER ENTRY FORMS: Paper entry forms will be accepted with a $5 processing fee. Registering online saves time, money and trees.
