8 a.m. – Squadding for .22 Semi-auto and .22 Revolver for 8:30 a.m. start time

8:30 a.m. – Squadding for Centerfire Semi-auto and Centerfire Revolver for 9 a.m. start time

9 a.m. – Squadding for .22 Semi-auto and .22 Revolver for 9:30 a.m. start time

9:30 a.m. – Squadding for Centerfire Semi-auto and Centerfire Revolver for 10 a.m. start time

10 a.m. – Squadding for .22 Semi-auto and .22 Revolver for 10:30 a.m. start time

10:30 a.m. – Squadding for Centerfire Semi-auto and Centerfire Revolver for 11 a.m. start time

Additional times may be made available once all listed times are filled.

EQUIPMENT: All firearms must be in safe working order and are subject to inspection. Pistols must have OPEN SIGHTS only. Aim-enhancing magnifiers or occluders for the dominant eye are prohibited. No magnum, +P, or steel core ammunition permitted. Eye and ear protection required.

.22 Semi-auto Pistol: Open to any .22 caliber rimfire semi-automatic pistol with open sights.

Centerfire Semi-auto Pistol: Open to any centerfire semi-automatic pistol up to and including .45 caliber with open sights.

.22 Revolver: Open to any .22 caliber rimfire revolver pistol with open sights.

Centerfire Revolver: Open to any centerfire revolver pistol up to and including .45 caliber with open sights.

RULES: Only safe gun handling is accepted. Sport Director’s decisions are final. Any unsafe behavior by shooters or spectators will not be tolerated.

AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event.

Expert: Experts are all registered shooters with a classification USA Shooting or NRA in any discipline.

Women: Women may opt to compete in this women’s-only event. Women who are eligible as Junior, Novice, Expert, or Senior may compete in one of those events for co-ed competition instead.

Novice: Novices are all shooters without any classification. Novice shooters who have won a gold medal in the 2019 or 2020 Cornhusker State Games must shoot as an Expert.

Junior: Juniors are shooters 18 years or younger as of July 10, 2021.
Senior: Seniors are shooters 65 years or older as of July 10, 2021.

Competition Format

COMPETITION FORMAT

All events are 30 record shots on B-6 targets at 20 yards, using a 2-handed or 1-handed grip from an unsupported standing position.

5-minute preparation and sighter period, unlimited shots within time limit.

2 strings-5 shots–150 seconds

2 strings-5 shots–20 seconds

2 strings-5 shots–10 seconds

Registration Fees & Deadlines

IF REGISTERED BY THE DISCOUNT DEADLINE: 
$40 per shooter until June 17
$45 per shooter until July 5
Additional events – $14

MULTI-EVENT DISCOUNT NOTE: If registering for multiple events, all entries must occur in the same transaction to receive the multi-event discount.

ENTRY FEE INCLUDES: Competition in the 2021 Cornhusker State Games; White cotton athlete shirt (micro-fiber or soft cotton lightweight tri-blend upgrade available); Sponsor gifts and coupons.

PAPER ENTRY FORMS: Paper entry forms will be accepted with a $5 processing fee. Registering online saves time, money and trees.

Athlete Packets

Athlete packets will be shipped directly to the athlete at no extra charge.  Packets will not be available for in-person pickup. Packets include athlete shirt and one free Arby’s sandwich certificate per person. Athletes will receive their packet prior to competition.

The athlete packets DO NOT contain any sport specific information such as schedules, maps, bib numbers, etc. For sport-specific details, refer to your sport General Information.
