SITE: Woods Tennis Center, Lincoln

SANCTION: The Cornhusker State Games Adult and Junior Orange and Green divisions will be sanctioned by the USTA. USTA membership card can be purchased at www.usta.com.
*Due to USTA Junior Rules and Regulations, the Junior Boys & Girls 12-18 events are not USTA sanctioned tournaments and thus, do not receive ranking points.

COMPETITION FORMAT & RULES:

USTA rules will apply.

All players must have a valid USTA membership good through at least July 2026.

NOTE:  Players may play in multiple divisions.  However, all players must use the same rating for each division.  Example:  If playing 3.5 for singles, the player must play 3.5 for doubles.  This will help reduce waiting times for all players.

NTRP rating classification guidelines will apply.

Main draw matches are 2 of 3 sets with a 10-point match tiebreak in lue of a third set. All consolation and playoff matches will be an 8-game pro set. It is the referee’s discretion to switch to alternate scoring from “regular” scoring in all matches. The change may be necessary to complete the tournament after inclement weather or other factors causing the tournament to fall behind its published schedule.

Juniors may enter only one age division and are not allowed to enter the adult draw except in the open events.

Juniors and adults may enter both singles and doubles.

Age as of July 31, 2026. Example: If a player turns 19 anytime in July, they are not eligible to play in the U18 division.

The tournament director reserves the right to combine events.

MATCH TIMES & DRAWS: Match times and draws will be available at CornhuskerStateGames.com and emailed out to participants the week of competition. Events may be rescheduled after the entry deadline to improve the flow of the tournament. Participants will be notified of any changes. Please DO NOT call the Cornhusker State Games office for this information.

TOURNAMENT NOTES:                 

– The Director reserves the right to adjust the USTA scoring format in instances of extreme heat.
– To help eliminate scheduling issues, players are limited to playing in a maximum of TWO events.
– Some time delays may happen for adults participating in multiple events
– Juniors Orange & Green will play with either orange or green dot balls accordingly. Matches will occur on July 17, 2026.

AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event.

MEDAL PICKUP: Medals not picked up on site during competition may still be claimed after the Games through the following process:

1. Medal Pickup in Lincoln: Participants who wish to pick up their medal(s) in person must email us at info@nebraskasportscouncil.com to notify our staff of their intent to pick up. After verification of eligibility, the medal(s) will be packaged and available for pickup at the Nebraska Sports Council office.

2. Medal Shipping: If participants are unable to pick up their medal(s) in Lincoln, we offer a shipping option for a $6 fee. To request shipping:

SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS: Participants in need of special accommodations must let must let tournament directors know at time of entry. Participants registering online will be prompted to list any special accommodations, and those registering via paper entry form must list them in the Additional Details/Special Instructions section.
