RULES: USA Triathlon rules will apply. All cyclists must wear a hard-shell helmet. Wet suits and disc wheels are allowed. Center line rule will be strictly enforced.

AWARDS: Custom Cornhusker State Games gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division.

Competition Format

10 & Under SUPER SPRINT

  • Chip timing will be used in all races. The swim leg is a point to point 100m swim and will be lined with support craft. Swim warm-up will only be allowed before the pre-race meeting, no warm-ups allowed before the start of each wave. The cycling leg is a 7-kilometer bike around Holmes Lake and Holmes Golf Course – 70th Street to Pioneer Blvd, to 56th Street to Normal Blvd (1 lap), and the final leg is a 2-kilometer out and back run along the limestone trail around the lake. 11 & Above SUPER SPRINT

Swim warm-up will only be allowed before the pre-race meeting, no warm-ups allowed before the start of each wave. The cycling leg is a 7-kilometer bike around Holmes Lake and Holmes Golf Course – 70th Street to Pioneer Blvd, to 56th Street to Normal Blvd (1 lap), and the final leg is a 2-kilometer out and back run along the limestone trail around the lake. SPRINT

  • Chip timing will be used in all races. The swim leg is a point to point 500m swim and will be lined with support craft. Swim warm-up will only be allowed before the pre-race meeting, no warm-ups allowed before the start of each wave. The cycling leg is a 20-kilometer bike around Holmes Lake and Holmes Golf Course – 70th Street to Pioneer Blvd, to 56th Street to Normal Blvd (3 laps), and the final leg is a 5-kilometer out and back run along the limestone trail around the lake.
  • Team competition consists of three members, each participating in one segment of the triathlon. Mixed teams must consist of at least one female. Teams are determined by combining the ages of all three team members. If any leg in the team competition does not finish, either or both remaining team members may complete the remaining portion BUT WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR AWARDS. A wave start will be implemented by age groups (4-5 waves depending on the numbers, approx. 80 to 100 per wave)

Swim Course: Swim course may be altered due to water and/or weather conditions in a manner that will not conflict with other ongoing lake activities.

Roster Info

ROSTER UPDATES:

Teams can make roster updates online at CornhuskerStateGames.com/Roster_Updates.

The deadline to make roster updates is 5 p.m. on TUESDAY, JULY 23. Rosters are considered FINAL after that date.

Roster additions after July 8 will include the per-player entry fee, plus a $10 late fee PER TEAM MEMBER.

Teams that register online are able to login and make roster substitutions free of charge. Teams that register via the paper entry form will be charged a $10 processing fee to substitute players. Teams are strongly encouraged to register online to eliminate any roster change fees.

MINIMUM ROSTER SIZE: Three people. If registering online, the minimum roster size must be entered to advance to check-out.

TEAM WAIVER: The team waiver form must be signed by each team member, or by parent/guardian if the participant is 18 years or younger. If the team is registered online, and the online waiver for each player is clicked as ‘Accepted’, no printed/signed waiver is needed. All team waivers must be clicked as ‘Accepted’ or submitted to the Cornhusker State Games office by TUESDAY, JULY 23 to be eligible for competition. Registration Fees & Deadlines

IF REGISTERED BY THE DISCOUNT DEADLINE:

Sprint Individuals 
$85 per participant until July 25

Sprint Teams 
$170 per team until July 25

Super Sprint Individuals 
$60 per participant until July 25

ENTRY FEE INCLUDES: Competition in the 2019 Cornhusker State Games; White cotton athlete shirt (micro-fiber or soft cotton lightweight tri-blend upgrade available); Pass for free admission to SportFest, the Opening Ceremonies, and all competition venues; Sponsor gifts and coupons.

PAPER ENTRY FORMS: Paper entry forms will be accepted with a $5 processing fee for individuals or a $10 processing fee per team. Registering online saves time, money and trees.

Athlete Packets

Choose the Shipping Option and get a Free Arby’s Sandwich!

Save time, avoid hassles and receive your CSG gear more than a week before the Opening Ceremonies by shipping your athlete packet ($10) or team box ($15).  Athlete packets contain the athlete shirt and Super Pass. Athlete packets will begin to ship in late June. The packet shipping option will only be available for those registered by the final entry deadline. If you don’t choose the shipping option, you will need to pick up your athlete packet or team box.

For those who did not select the packet shipping option during registration, athlete packets and team boxes can be picked up at the following locations, dates and times:

Athlete packets contain the athlete shirt and Super Pass, which includes admission to all venues and SportFest and the Opening Ceremonies.  The athlete packets DO NOT contain any sport specific information such as schedules, maps, bib numbers, etc. For sport-specific details, refer to your sport General Information.
