LINCOLN, Neb. (February 17, 2026) — Organizers of the Cornhusker State Games are encouraging athletes to complete their registration before 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 18 to lock in the lowest entry fees for 2026. Registration details and a full list of sports are available at CornhuskerStateGames.com.
Now in its 42nd year, the Cornhusker State Games will run July 9-19, 2026, showcasing more than 70 sports at upwards of 50 venues throughout the state, including Lincoln, Omaha, Grand Island, Fremont, Columbus, North Platte, and additional Nebraska communities. More than 8,000 competitors are anticipated to take part in this statewide celebration of sport.
The Games welcome participants of all ages and abilities, offering divisions for youth, adults, and seniors. From competitive athletes aiming for podium finishes to individuals seeking a fun and active summer experience, the event provides a wide range of opportunities. Age and skill-based divisions in many sports help create a competitive and inclusive environment for all.
The Nebraska Sports Council is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with a mission of providing quality competition for amateur athletes of all ages and abilities and promoting healthy and active lifestyle choices.
