LINCOLN, Neb. (Dec. 1, 2020) – The Cornhusker State Games is launching its High School Ambassador Program and is now accepting applications. This program allows high school student-athletes to be an extension of the organization by marketing the Cornhusker State Games and Torch Run in their school and community. One ambassador will be chosen per school. There are several ways the chosen ambassador can benefit from participating including; resume builder, volunteer/service hours and networking.

The Nebraska Sports Council is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with a mission of providing events and programs that promote healthy lifestyles. The Cornhusker State Games are held each year in the months of June and July in Lincoln, Omaha and surrounding communities. Leading up to the Cornhusker State Games, the Torch Run takes place in June. In addition to the Cornhusker State Games, the Nebraska Sports Council produces several other programs including the Corporate Games, Mud Run, Pumpkin Run, “Golf For Gold” Scramble, LiveWell Challenge and Adopt an Athlete program.

Applications will be accepted until March 1, 2021.
